The starting point of Toyota as a company which specializes in producing automobiles was in 1933. At first it didn’t have any connection with autos and was aimed on textile production. During this period of time there was opened an auto department which was found by the elder son of Kiichiro Toyoda. He was the one to lead Toyota brand to worldwide popularity in the field of automobile construction and manufacturing. The first car was built in 1935 and it was called Model A1(АА). At the same time Toyota launches its first truck Model G1. Both of these models were exported to China. Several years later an independent company appeared in the market. Its name was Toyota Motor Co., Ltd.

At the beginning of the 50s Taiichi Ohno invented the unique manufacturing system which allowed reducing the losses of materials, time and powers. It helped Toyota to show its quality and efficiency to the rest of the world. Kiichiro Toyoda dies in 1952 while the company starts to gain success and popularity.

After the death of its father Toyota started to make different researches and develop its own constructions. This resulted in the widening of production line. Popular Land Cruiser appears during this period of time. The decision was taken to open Toyota Motor Sales in the USA. Its main target was to distribute automobiles to the American consumers. However their first try of export to the US market was not very successful. But later all the mistakes were taken into consideration and everything ran smoothly.
In 1961 Toyota Publica appeared on the market. It was small economy car which became very popular at short notice. In 1962 Toyota celebrated its million productions of autos during its development. This was also due to the fact that Japan was feeling an economic increase during 1960s. It influenced a big number of cars which were sold all over the world.
Before 1980s Toyota was associated with cheap and economy cars. However during these years a very important event took place. Make Lexus appeared as one of the sub-units of Toyota. Its main idea was to create cars of high class and good level of comfort which were going to be luxurious and expensive.
